Flyweight contender John Dodson will welcome Darrell Montague to the Octagon on October 19 at UFC 166 in Houston.

Dodson will be making his first appearance in the cage since Jan. 26 when he lost a 125-pound title bout by unanimous decision to champion Demetrious Johnson. Dodson, who is ranked third among flyweights by ESPN.com and has a professional record of 14-6, entered the bout with Johnson riding a five-fight win streak.

Considered one of today's fastest mixed martial artists, Dodson possesses above-average punching power. He landed several powerful left hooks in the second round against Johnson that dropped the champion three times and wobbled him on at least one other occasion.

But Dodson, who was competing in a five-round fight for the first time at flyweight, began to slow down in the third. That's when Johnson began taking control of the action. Dodson's fight with Montague is scheduled for three rounds.

Montague (13-2) is a versatile fighter, who has won 10 fights by either knock-out or submission. He is currently on a four-fight win streak. ESPN.com ranks Montague - who will be making his UFC debut against Dodson - seventh among flyweights.
