Toney rubbishes fitness jibes

James Toney has dismissed suggestions that he is not taking his UFC switch seriously, as talk continues to point to a clash with Randy Couture.
Toney signed a deal with UFC in March to much fanfare and he has made positive noises about taking the sport by the scruff of the neck. But there have been claims that he is not in the right condition to take on the elite of the UFC.
A clash with legend Couture has been pencilled in for UFC 118 and Toney believes those who have questioned his suitability will be in for a surprise.
"They are going to be shocked," Toney told FightHype.com." People think that I'm just sitting around doing nothing. Okay, we will see.
"The thing is, I am a legendary fighter. Fighter is the key word because that's what I am, a fighter.
"I'm taking this serious. This is what we do. I'm not playing in there. Those 4oz. gloves are feeling good too."
