Martin Kampmann has called out Dan Hardy as the Danish welterweight bids to march up the UFC welterweight rankings.

Kampmann delivered arguably the most impressive win of his career at UFC 115 on Saturday, beating the highly-rated Paulo Thiago via unanimous decision. In a victory that displayed The Hitman's kickboxing and ground skills, Thiago was controlled in both levels of the fight, making Kampmann a dangerous customer in the 170lb mix.

Hardy is awaiting an opponent following his loss to Georges St-Pierre, and it is believed he will appear next at UFC 120 in England during October. After Dustin Hazelett pulled out due to the event clashing with his wedding, Kampmann wants to step in for a return to England after he beat Jorge Rivera at middleweight at UFC 85.

"I'd love to fight Dan Hardy," Kampmann said on MMA Junkie. "I think that would make a great fight. I heard he doesn't have an opponent right now, so that could be a great opportunity.

"I'm going to Denmark here in the summer. I'm coming back sometime in mid-August, so I'd like to fight preferably again in late October or early November. I heard that's when he's lined up, so if he doesn't have an opponent, that would be a great fight."
