Brock Lesnar is so pumped up for Shane Carwin that he insists he could 'fight right now'.

Lesnar will have to wait until July 3 to get his hands on Carwin, in a fight that will crown the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion. Lesnar holds the official belt, but a lengthy lay-off due to an intestinal disorder handed Carwin the chance to win the interim championship with his victory over Frank Mir.

When Lesnar steps back inside the Octagon, a whole year will have passed since his last fight, which has given him time to develop his still-raw MMA game. The former WWE star has particularly been adding some leg kicks to his arsenal ahead of the Carwin bout, and he insists he would fight tomorrow if he could.

"It's definitely the countdown to crushing Carwin. I don't feel threatened by him, he's a fighter, I am too," Lesnar told MMAmania.

"I've had a stronger base than any of my previous fight camps. Right now, three or four weeks in, I feel like I can fight right now.

"The opponents I've had are a little more credible than his, so in the end Brock Lesnar's going to prevail."
