Velasquez to challenge Lesnar at UFC 121

Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will fight Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 in California, according to reports.

MMAfighting.com claims Dana White confirmed on Friday that Lesnar, who is 5-1 in UFC after submitting Shane Carwin in the second round at UFC 116 in Las Vegas last week, has been handed his next fight.

The event is yet to be officially announced, but is scheduled to take place on October 23 in Anaheim, California, headlined by the former WWE star and Velasquez, who has a perfect 8-0 record after knocking out Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110 in February.
