Michael Bisping has brushed aside the importance of Yoshihiro Akiyama's training camp with Greg Jackson, insisting 'I couldn't care less who he trains with'.

Akiyama has made a temporary switch to the Jackson camp to pick up some new techniques, revealing he has improved his takedown offence and MMA striking. The move comes after the Japanese star lost to Chris Leben in his last outing.

Bisping recently taunted Greg Jackson fighters, predicting Akiyama would try to 'dry-hump' him for three rounds. And, asked for a more considered opinion on what he expects, Bisping is adamant such a short training camp can do little to change a fighter's performance in the heat of the battle.

"In terms of preparation, it doesn't change anything," said the Briton. "With respect, I couldn't care less who he trains with. He can train with anyone. What I'm focusing on these days is what I do, focusing on my training. He can worry about what I'm bringing to the table.

"Regardless of who he's training with, I think I'll be too much for him. I've looked at Akiyama, I've looked at his style, I look at the way he fights, and I'm positive I can beat him.

"I think he's a very, very tough opponent, and I'm sure he's going to be tough on the mat, and I'm sure it's going to be a great fight. I'm expecting him to come in hard and fast, looking for the knockout. Obviously, he's got good judo.

"But I don't feel a couple of weeks at Greg Jackson's is ultimately going to make much difference to how he performs. You know, he can go train anywhere for two weeks, but all the years of training that he's done prior to that are what's important."
