Jon Jones claims Joe Silva has told him the Ryan Bader fight is 'definitely still happening', so Jones is practising his boxing in order to knock his rival out at UFC 126.

UFC president Dana White sparked fears that the fight had been pulled from the pipeline ahead of UFC 120, but both Bader and Jones have confirmed they expect to get it on when SuperBowl weekend arrives on February 5.

Speaking in an English accent to entertain the watching Thiago Alves, Jones revealed he had held talks with match-maker Silva in order to make sure plans had not changed.

"Yeah it's on, me and my manager had a meeting with Joe Silva... Joe said the fight is definitely still happening, so we're excited," Jones told ESPN.

Asked if the fight was expected for SuperBowl weekend, the light-heavyweight replied: "Yes".

And, after he used his wrestling to defeat Brandon Vera and Vladimir Matyushenko, Jones revealed it will be his hands that make the difference against Bader.

"Right now I'm working on my skill set, doing a lot of boxing, a lot of this fight will be based around boxing so I'm doing a lot of that right now. And basically I've just been studying him to figure him out."
