Carwin awaiting opponent for UFC 131 bout

Shane Carwin claims he will appear on the UFC 131 card in Vancouver, although he is yet to discover the identity of his opponent.
The UFC's trips to Canada are always blockbuster events, and the Rogers Arena is tagged as the setting for Carwin's return from injury. The former No. 1 heavyweight contender is currently recovering from surgery on his back, but he revealed he "rapidly accepted" an invite for the June event.
Carwin's last fight saw him come within a whisker of claiming the UFC heavyweight title against Brock Lesnar. The 36-year-old ended up losing the fight after he punched himself out when trying to finish Lesnar, who covered up in a turtle position.
Roy Nelson had been pencilled in as Carwin's next opponent, but the back problem saw that fight cancelled. Nelson is now rumoured to be facing Frank Mir, possibly on the same UFC 131 card.
"As of this blog no opponent has been mentioned," Carwin wrote on his official website. "I am training hard and working on fixing the issues I ran into during the Lesnar fight."
