Ross Pearson has confirmed his knee operation was a complete success and he will be 100 percent fit to fight Spencer Fisher at UFC 127.

Pearson tore his knee cartilage and chipped a bone in his knee during his September loss to Cole Miller, which was the first defeat he has suffered in the UFC.

Having won the lightweight competition of TUF 9, Pearson's usual snap and movement was uncharacteristically missing against Miller, so it was no surprise when it became apparent that he seriously damaged his knee during the fight.

Now he has the chance to put things right against Fisher, who beat England's Curt Warburton, a good friend of Pearson, in his last fight. The pair will collide in Sydney, and Pearson has assured his fans that he will enter the bout in top physical condition.

"The knee's excellent, everything's feeling really strong. I was really pleased with how the operation went," Pearson told ESPN.

"I've been back in full training for about 10 weeks now. Sometimes I get a niggling pain after training but that's just natural and it never disturbs me.

"It'll be spot-on for my next fight. I saw the physio today and he said, come the next fight, it'll be 100 per cent. I've had a lot of work, a lot of rehab on the tendons, and it'll be ready."
