Paul Kelly has warned Gabe Ruediger he is in for the worst night of his life when he takes on Kelly's team-mate Paul Taylor at UFC 126.

Kelly, who has fought in the UFC on eight occasions, has developed a respect for the majority of his fellow fighters, but he draws the line at Ruediger. The pair had been set to square off at UFC 123 but the American had to withdraw citing a groin injury.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ruediger aimed a swipe at Kelly, telling MMABay: "As far as Kelly goes, he seems to have a bit of a mouth problem. If (and that's a big IF) he actually gets out of his next bout, I would be more than happy to shut his mouth for him."

Instead it will be Kelly's Team Kaobon colleague Taylor who gets to share the Octagon with Ruediger, while Kelly looks forward to a battle with Donald Cerrone on the same card.

"Paul Taylor is the only guy who never moans in the gym. He just gets on with it. Ruediger has got just the worst night ahead of him," Kelly told ESPN.

"Ruediger talks so much trash, he's a f*****g arsehole. He pulled out of fighting me because he came on his period. He's a little girl who's going to get his head crushed in.

"I talk serious. I've said I don't believe in talking trash unless I don't like someone. I don't like Gabe Ruediger. He's a tool. I'm hoping Paul kicks him with the blunt of his shin right in his face and caves it backwards.

"He's got nothing. He eats a cake the day of his weigh-in and fails to make weight. He's a beaut."
