Anthony Pettis is expected to headline the season 13 finale of The Ultimate Fighter after president Dana White confirmed the lightweight will make his UFC debut against Clay Guida.

White fielded questions at Friday's weigh-in ahead of the Fight For the Troops event at Fort Hood. The card is headlined by Evan Dunham's battle with Melvin Guillard.

Pettis had been expected to fight the winner of Frankie Edgar v Gray Maynard, but their draw at UFC 125 has led to a rematch, leaving Pettis to look elsewhere for an opponent.

"Showtime" is the current WEC lightweight champion, and a unification bout will happen in the future, provided he can get past Guida. Guida is on a three-fight tear after he submitted Takanori Gomi in his last outing.

A date has not been confirmed for the clash, but the TUF 13 Finale is a highly mooted venue.
