Jon Jones has promised to be flashier than ever when he tackles the undefeated Ryan Bader at UFC 126.

Jones has made a giant impact since his arrival in the UFC, mixing spinning back elbows with eye-catching suplexes to scale the 205lb ladder. However, Bader undoubtedly represents the 23-year-old's biggest test, where he will have to overcome an explosive takedown offence, as well as a tight stand-up game.

Bader predicts the showbiz style of Jones' fight game will be tamed for such a big encounter, but Jones promises there will be an opposite reaction as he attempts to use his 6ft 4in frame and 84½in reach to claim the victory.

"Ryan is undefeated, he was a successful collegiate wrestler, and he's beaten some veterans of the sport," summarised Jones. "Anytime you fight a fighter who is undefeated, he will have a confidence thing behind him that you have to respect. So I know I've got a tough task ahead - it's going to be a good match.

"Ryan's mentioned that he thinks I'll cut down on my flashiness. That's what he's afraid of, so that's what I'll give him most... a load of weird, unorthodox techniques that he's never seen - even in wrestling.

"His stand-up is very respectable, he doesn't kick, he doesn't knee, he doesn't use elbows, he doesn't spin, he doesn't jump, but he has the power to knock you out with the left hand or right hand. You have to respect that. That double-leg dive will score points too.

"The perfect fight for me would be to exploit the speed difference, the reach difference, the level of technique, and to not be taken down. I'll pick him apart, keep my hands up and keep it real funky."
