Dana White has revealed Quinton Rampage Jackson is likely to be handed the next shot at the UFC light-heavyweight title, if he beats Thiago Silva at UFC 130.

Jackson's May battle with Silva has not been officially confirmed, but sources close to both fighters claim deals have been struck.

The current 205lb title picture is simmering intriguingly with Ryan Bader set to fight Jon Jones at UFC 126, before Rashad Evans takes on reigning champion Mauricio Shogun Rua at UFC 128.

The winner of Jones v Bader will more-than-likely be given one more bout before they get a crack at the belt, leaving Jackson on course for a rematch with either Evans or Shogun, the latter of whom broke his ribs back when the pair fought in Pride.

"There are so many guys at 205," White was quoted as saying by Fighters Only. "Rampage is probably next in line. Rampage is still in the mix.

"We've got Jon Jones and Ryan Bader on the 5th, which is going to be a great fight and catapults one of those guys to the top five. There's so many great guys in the 205lb division.

"The big problem has been Shogun's injury clogging up the division. Now he's healthy and going to fight, and we'll get everything rolling."
