BJ Penn has confessed he might retire from MMA following his draw with Jon Fitch at UFC 127.

Penn admitted post-fight that he "did not know" what he would have done with his career had he lost to Fitch in Sydney, but the Hawaiian claimed a draw after an aggressive ground assault on the AKA man.

The main event proved to be hugely-anticlimactic, and it left Penn - a former two-time UFC champion - in sombre mood after the press conference. Asked what was next, the Prodigy admitted a rematch with Fitch might be the only way to prolong his illustrious career.

"I don't know, everything runs through your head. My mind changes from time to time, I still don't know what I'm going to do," Penn told MMAFighting.

"I know I have the skill, I know I have the fire, some mornings I wake up and I want to kill everybody. But sometimes I think about my daughter and other things, and a bunch of things run through your head.

"I don't know what I'm going to do."

Asked about the Fitch rematch, Penn stated: "That would probably make most sense to motivate me to want to come and fight again."
