Brock Lesnar v Junior Dos Santos will headline UFC 131 in June, the UFC officially revealed on Thursday.

Lesnar and Dos Santos are set to line up as rival coaches on season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter, which will culminate in the pair sharing the same Octagon. The winner is likely to get a title shot at UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.

News of the bout's official appearance at UFC 131 was revealed by The Ultimate Insider on UFC.com. No other bouts were confirmed, although former No. 1 heavyweight contender Shane Carwin is expected to bolster the card.

Lesnar will be coming off a brutal beating at the hands of Velasquez at UFC 121, while Dos Santos - who is the recognised No. 1 contender - has opted to take on the challenge of Lesnar while Velasquez recovers from surgery.

UFC 131 is expected to take place on June 11 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
