Carlos Condit had a major dig at Dan Hardy just hours before the Brit fought at UFC Fight Night 24 in Seattle, claiming Hardy "has nothing".

Condit delivered the first knockout of Hardy's career at UFC 120, taking a couple of hooks from the Outlaw before ending the fight with a solitary punch of his own.

The defeat still angers Hardy, who admits he is desperate to avenge the loss in the future, but it is not a match-up that appeals to Condit. In the American's eyes, he beat an opponent that he did not really rate before or after the bout.

"Honestly, I think he dislikes me more than I dislike him, for obvious reasons," Condit said on Friday. "I stood in the cage with that guy, and I'm just telling you, he had nothing - that night, anyway."

Much more appealing to Condit is a clash with No. 1 welterweight contender Jake Shields, who fights Georges St-Pierre at UFC 129. Shields has beaten Condit in the past, and the former WEC champ wants to erase that defeat.

"I'm looking to hopefully fight Jake Shields to get that loss back," Condit said. "Now with the Strikeforce merger, possibly Nick Diaz.

"I was also supposed to fight Paul Daley a while back. I got staph infection in my hand and had to pull out of the fight. There's some unfinished business there. I like that fight."

Condit is yet to learn his next opponent.
