Leben and Silva to face off at UFC 132

The UFC has granted Chris Leben his wish to fight Wanderlei Silva, meaning the two will meet at UFC 132 on July 2 in Las Vegas.

Leben (25-7) has made no secret of his desire to face his "personal hero" Silva (33-10-1), who last competed over a year ago at UFC 110.

On that occasion, he picked up a tight decision against Michael Bisping, who was vocal in his criticism of the judges' scoring of the bout.

Leben was in action earlier this year, losing to Brian Stann at UFC 125, having previously pieced together a trio of eye-catching wins against Jay Silva, Aaron Simpson and Yoshihiro Akiyama.

UFC 132 will reportedly be headlined by a bantamweight title clash between champion Dominick Cruz and former featherweight title holder Urijah Faber.
