Overeem to take on Werdum in Dallas

Alistair Overeem will face Fabricio Werdum on June 18, but his Strikeforce heavyweight title will not be on the line.

The Strikeforce Grand Prix heavyweight tournament is at the quarter-final stage and the clash between Overeem and Werdum will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The card will host another heavyweight quarter-final as its co-feature, with former UFC champion Josh Barnett taking on Brett Rogers.

"We are really excited to head to Dallas with two outstanding quarter-final heavyweight Grand Prix fights," Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said.
