Wanderlei Silva insists his forthcoming clash with Chris Leben is much more serious than merely putting on a good fight for the fans.

At 34 years of age, Wanderlei is in danger being labelled 'washed up' following five defeats in his last seven bouts. The Axe Murderer is coming off a decision victory over Michael Bisping, but he had suffered losses to Rampage Jackson and Rich Franklin prior to that success.

Silva has not fought since February 2010, and he takes on a rival in Leben who shares his passion for standing and banging.

However, Wanderlei insists he has not entered the realm of his career where he is here merely to entertain, claiming UFC 132 will be the start of his comeback in pursuit of the middleweight championship.

"This comeback, is really to prove to you all, that there's always a way," Silva said in a video blog, courtesy of DoggedTV. "So this comeback is really important.

"My next opponent, Chris Leben, is a brave guy who comes to fight. I'm preparing for a lot. I'm preparing for a bloody fight. He has a good chin; I know I must be prepared to beat on him for three rounds."
