Guida accuses Pettis of stealing Showtime Kick

Clay Guida has accused Anthony Pettis of stealing the "Showtime Kick" from one of his colleagues at his gym in New Mexico.
Pettis and Guida square off in the main event at the TUF 13 Finale, which will also crown the winner of the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter.
All the hype leading into the lightweight bout surrounds Pettis, who is recognised as next in line for a title shot once Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard finally share an Octagon for the third time.
Pettis shot to prominence across the MMA landscape with a spectacular "Showtime Kick" against Ben Henderson, when he leapt against the Octagon wall before exploding into a flying kick. However, Guida was not so impressed.
"It was nuts," Guida said on Sherdog. "We said, 'That's John Dodson's move. He stole that from Johnny Dodson. We were all texting Dodson."
Dodson is well known at the New Mexico gym for his creativity in coming up with new techniques, and he admits it was frustrating to see Pettis coin the move.
"I was more upset that I wasn't allowed to do it on such a historic occasion. When he did it to Ben Henderson for the last WEC fight, for the last 155[-pound] title belt, it was just more historic," Dodson said.
"Everybody got to see a move that I like to do all the time, and they get to [associate] it to somebody else's name. That kind of kicked me in the nuts."
