Dana White confirms St-Pierre v Diaz for UFC 137

Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz will form the first UFC v Strikeforce champion v champion clash after Dana White announced the bout late on Wednesday.
White has been working around the clock to get the two champions in the same Octagon, and the pair will meet on October 29 in Las Vegas.
The tweet from White was short and sweet, saying: "You wanted it! YOU GOT IT!!!"
Confirmation on the UFC's official website read: "What the fans wanted was a showdown between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and the Strikeforce welterweight title holder, Nick Diaz. So on October 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, the UFC 137 Superfight becomes a reality."
Cesar Gracie, Diaz's coach, elaborated on the deal, hinting that only the UFC title would be on the line, and that Diaz would likely only return to Strikeforce in the event of a defeat.
"They haven't told me if his belt is on the line. I don't think so," Gracie told MMA Fighting. "This is not like that because if his belt was on the line that would make GSP the Strikeforce champion [if he wins]. And then what? He's going to fight someone from Strikeforce? I don't think that's happening.
"We have a new deal. Multi-fight, multi-year contract with the UFC. But the contract does give the option to fight in Strikeforce. So what that opens up is the potential for him to also fight in Strikeforce.
"[But] If he's back in Strikeforce, I would imagine that's because he lost his next fight."
St-Pierre has not lost in four years, defeating the likes of Jon Fitch, Thiago Alves, Josh Koscheck, Jake Shields and Dan Hardy.
Diaz always comes to fight though, and he too is on a long winning streak dating back to 2007. On October 29, the MMA world will find out if he has the tools to stop GSP.
