Carwin drops almost a stone in weight for Dos Santos

A new-look Shane Carwin weighed in 11lbs lighter for UFC 131 than he did for his last fight against Brock Lesnar.

Carwin has undergone a signficant change to his training programme in order to improve his speed and cardio capabilities for the challenge of Junior Dos Santos, who has won his last six fights.

It had been thought that Carwin may even be as much as 30lbs lighter than in his last outing, but the 11lb drop still represents an important factor ahead of Saturday's main event.

Elsewhere, all fighters on the card made weight, including Kenny Florian, making his featherweight debut.
