After a period of reflection, Matt Wiman has conceded the decision that saw him beaten by Denis Siver at UFC 132 was the right one.

The pair fought out a tough contest and the decision to hand the victory to Siver did not sit well with Wiman who stormed out of the cage and then from the arena.

Siver has now revealed that he met Wiman the following day and claimed his rival told him the result was correct.

"Well, from my point of view that was the right decision. Everybody that has watched the fight also told me that, even Wiman himself. I just met him at breakfast and he didn't argue with the judges' decision anymore, after watching the fight himself," Siver told GroundandPound.de.

"I clearly won the first round, lost the second due to the situation on the ground, and won the third round again, so obviously I see the result exactly like the judges did. It was close indeed, but still in my favour."

Elaborating on their meeting, Siver said: "He came over and congratulated me, we shot a few photos together and he said he is actually a fan of mine. He was fully content with the decision now, there were no hard feelings anymore.

"Saturday might have been a different situation, because from a fighter's view things might look different than they really are. I didn't know who won, either. After seeing the fight on TV he might have changed his mind. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see the fight, yet so I can't really argue with anybody. I can just tell from what I remember."
