Tom Prydie said it was "an amazing feeling" to score his first Test try for Wales against South Africa on Saturday.

The Ospreys teenager became Wales' youngest ever international player at 18 years and 25 days when he made his Test debut against Italy in this season's RBS 6 Nations Championship.

"You always look forward to getting your first try - it was an amazing feeling," said Prydie after Wales' narrow defeat. "It was a tough game with a lot of running, and fitness was a big part of the game. I am starting to get more used to it. It's still strange playing in the Wales team, but it is a great experience."

Although World champions South Africa were tougher opponents than the Italians, the young winger put in another assured performance and sparked a late Wales fightback with his try in the corner.

Despite his impressive display, Wales' 34-31 defeat still left Prydie as frustrated as everyone else in the home team dressing room.

"We were so close, yet we chucked it way," he added. "Everyone is really disappointed, but there is not much you can say. We will review it, and then head to New Zealand."
