Wales have suffered a double blow prior to their showdown with South Africa, losing prop Gethin Jenkins and flanker Dan Lydiate to injury just hours before kick-off.

An ankle problem has prevented Dragons blindside Lydiate from taking part, meaning that Wasps back-rower Andy Powell will win his first Test cap since February and his highly-publicised golf buggy incident.

Jenkins has been replaced at loose-head by the Ospreys' Paul James after failing a fitness test on a calf injury, with Cardiff Blues prop John Yapp promoted to the replacements' bench.

Yapp's Blues team-mate Deiniol Jones has also been promoted to the bench to cover the second-row, with Ryan Jones now set to offer another option in the back-row.
