Wales have confirmed back-to-back showdowns with England as part of their preparations for next year's Rugby World Cup.

Warren Gatland's men will travel to Twickenham on August 6 before welcoming their rivals to the Millennium Stadium a week later, rounding off their preparations against Argentina in Cardiff on August 20.

A fixture against the Barbarians, on June 4, has also been announced to coincide with the Welsh Rugby Union's 130th anniversary.

"I am delighted at the schedule of warm-up fixtures we will be playing in June and August next year," Gatland said.

"We will have a prolonged camp for the squad to prepare, and it is important for us to measure our progress against some top-class opposition."

Wales kick-off their World Cup bid against reigning champions South Africa in Wellington on September 11, 2011.
