Scrum-half Tomas O'Leary has been declared fit for Ireland's Six Nations clash with Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

The Munster No.9 missed the 21-18 victory over Scotland last month with a back injury but is one of twelve additional players drafted into the squad this week by coach Declan Kidney. Leinster scrum-half Eoin Reddan was handed a starting role against the Scots and grabbed a try with Munster's Peter Stringer also appearing off the bench.

Ulster flanker Stephen Ferris has been ruled out of the rest of the Championship as he continues to battle a knee injury but there are no other major injury concerns as they look to keep their Six Nations title hopes alive.

O'Leary's provincial team-mates Donnacha Ryan, Mick O'Driscoll, Johne Murphy and Tony Buckley are also included in the squad. After making way for Tommy Bowe last week, Fergus McFadden is back in the mix as are Leinster forwards Devin Toner, Kevin McLaughlin and Rhys Ruddock. The remaining trio comprises of Ulster's Andrew Trimble and Connacht's Mike McCarthy and Gavin Duffy.

Kidney will name his 22 for the match with Wales on lunchtime on Tuesday.
