Sharks fly-half Butch James has been suspended for four weeks after making a dangerous tackle on Jurgen Visser in the Super Rugby round 19 match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday

James, 34, pleaded guilty and was barred from playing rugby until August 5, but the impact on the Sharks will be minimal as they failed to reach the Super Rugby play-offs. The Sharks have only one fixture left this season - at home to fellow South Africans Southern Kings in Durban on Saturday.

James, who has a career-long reputation for his short-temper, received a yellow card for his 70th-minute tackle on Visser.
