Wales No.8 Ryan Jones has been linked with a potential transfer to Bristol.

Reports on Wales Online say Jones is set to take up a lucrative two-year deal with the Championship side after reportedly spurning the advances of the Dragons. Bristol have recruited well ahead of next season after confirming the recruitment of Bath prop Anthony Perenise and British & Irish Lions scrum-half Dwayne Peel.

Jones is just one of a number of Welsh players whose contracts are up at the end of the season and has already spoken of the uncertainty over the future of the Welsh game having some impact on the players ahead of the Six Nations.

On Tuesday he was named in the Wales squad for the forthcoming championship but it looks like he will be ending his 10-year association with the Ospreys at the end of the current season.
