Former Welsh Rugby Union CEO David Moffett has vowed to solve the civil war engulfing the country's rugby within ten days.
Moffett has flown in from New Zealand in an attempt to bridge the gap between the four regions and the Welsh Rugby Union. The two have been involved in a very public spat over the future of Welsh rugby as the country attempts to stem the exodus of their top players.
In a letter sent to the Union's 320 member clubs, Moffett has outlined his plans to solve the war between the two parties and claims the dispute focuses around three issues: Money and competitions, control and risk and reward.
"The relationship between the WRU and the regions is toxic, divisive, lacking in trust and respect for each other," Moffett wrote. "This has got to stop now.
"I believe I can broker an honest, transparent and sustainable agreement with the regions in 10 days. I don't believe we have to have any losers if we address the issues professionally and reasonably. We want one winner - Welsh rugby."
