The Welsh Rugby Union has tabled an offer for Adam Jones' services and have reportedly trumped the contract the Ospreys' offered their prop.

Reports in The Rugby Paper say the WRU has offered Jones £50,000-a-year more than the deal the Ospreys have put together but Jones is yet to decide where his future lies.

The WRU currently have just one player signed up on a central deal - Sam Warburton - while Alun-Wyn Jones and Scott Williams opted to re-sign with their respective regions rather than committing their futures to the Union.

For Jones, he has told The Rugby Paper he is still weighing up where to play his rugby next season and has not ruled out the possibility of journeying to France.

"There have been so many deadlines and so many meetings," Jones said. "Players are stuck in the middle. You don't actually know the full story from either side. I'm definitely open to the idea of playing in France."
