Lock Bradley Davies has become the latest player to be ruled out of Wales' South Africa tour next month.

The Cardiff Blues forward, who will join Wasps this summer, had surgery on a damaged hamstring on Wednesday.

Wales head coach Warren Gatland is already without players like Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny, Justin Tipuric and Scott Williams because of injuries. He also lost Ryan Jones yesterday after he was injured in the Championship play-off.

Gatland will announce the tour party after Friday night's trial match in Swansea, with the squad set to be captained by Ospreys lock Alun-Wyn Jones.

Wales face the Springboks in Durban on June 14, and then Nelspruit seven days later.
