The family of Wales international centre Owen Williams are at his hospital bedside in Singapore after he suffered a serious neck injury during the inaugural World Club 10s tournament on Sunday

No specifics of the injury have been released but the game in which it occurred was stopped for some time as Williams' was treated for what appeared to be a problem with his neck.

Williams' brother Gavin, who works as a WRU participation officer, tweeted: "So emotional reading all the support. It's overwhelming. In the hospital next to my brother, he's a warrior. Thank you all for your concern and messages. He's a strong boy."

Many others in the rugby world have taken to social media to offer their support and thoughts.

In a statement posted on their official website, Cardiff Blues said that updates would be issued as and when they were available.

Williams, 22, made his Wales debut during last summer's tour to Japan, winning the most recent of his four caps against Australia last November.
