The WRU has announced it will be increasing ticket prices at the Millennium Stadium for the 2015 Six Nations, with top-price tickets rising by about 6%.
The WRU has notified the 20,000 debenture holders at the ground of the increases and they have until September to book their seats for the opening game of the tournament which is against England.
The price hike means that tickets at the stadium have doubled in a decade. The cost of an average seat when Wales met England in 2005 was £42; in 2015 it will be £85. Tickets at the Millennium Stadium are now only second to England among the home nations.
"You're paying £170 for your two seats before you leave home," one debenture holder told the Rugby Paper. "By the time you've had a bite to eat and a pint, you're up to £200. They might be used to forking out at Twickenham but not in Wales."
