Welshman Williams joins Irish exiles
July 17, 2000

London Irish have turned to Wales in their latest recruitment drive luring Steve Williams from Cardiff.

The Welsh international flanker, who has made 20 appearances for the national side, has joined, like many of the other new players signed during the summer on a three year contract.

The former Neath player, now 29 years of age, was a part of the Cardiff side which won the Welsh/Scottish league last season, in his third year at the club.
