Howarth faces up to brotherly love
July 18, 2000
Shane Howarth may face his brother this season in the Welsh/Scottish League. Arthur Howarth, a back-row forward, has joined Premier newcomers Cross Keys from Pontypool, where he played his rugby last season. Cross Keys coach David Rees said: "It's a big signing for us. He's a typical New Zealand openside with what I would call 'nuisance value', who pesters opponents." Pontypool are sorry to see him go, but grateful for last season's contribution of 21 league appearances. |
