A battle between the top league clubs in England and Wales will take place at Cardiff Arms Park on August 12th.

The pre season meeting of Allied Dunbar Premiership Champions Leicester and Celtic League winners Cardiff is sure to attract a huge crowd at the Arms Park.

Cardiff team manager Robert Norster believes it is an excellent starting point to the season for both clubs. "This is an excellent launch pad to an exciting season," he said. "Leicester welcome the opportunity of a game like this in the lead up to the start of their campaign and we, likewise, have a chance for our new players to gel into the squad".

Leicester will play their first match the previous Saturday when they travel to Ireland to face Ulster.
