Jones announces retirement

Former Welsh international second row Derwyn Jones has decided to retire from the game a the age of 29.
the game.

Jones, who played for Beziers last season, after a period with Bedford, had been linked with a move to London Welsh.

The former Cardiff lock announced his retirement from the game live on BBC Wales' Sportstime.

"Because of the demands of the professional game, careers have become shortened and the enjoyment has gone out of it for me," he said

He made his debut against South Africa in November 1994, a game Wales lost 12-20, and won 19 caps in all.
