No action over Healey's comments in book
January 4, 2002

The RFU has considered a complaint made by the WRU regarding the contents of a book credited to the Leicester Tigers, England and British Lions player Austin Healey.

After due consideration no action will be taken against the player. The WRU has been informed of the decision.

Robert Horner the RFU Disciplinary Officer said "We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the WRU if any offence was caused by the book. However, we did not feel that there was sufficient evidence, which was directly attributable to Austin Healey, to take the matter further."

Leicester Tigers have also looked into the matter and dealt with it through their internal processes. Austin Healey has been made aware of Leicester Tigers view on the matter and what is expected of him in the future.
