Same again for the Scarlets
January 23, 2002

Llanelli coach Gareth Jenkins has said 'same again' to the side that defeated Heineken Cup holders Leicester Tigers, for the Scarlets' quarter-final clash at Bath on Saturday (Kick-off 3.00pm).

Scott Quinnell will lead the Scarlets' bid for European glory boosted by the selection of key forwards John Davies and David Hodges, who had been injury worries for Llanelli.

"We are fortunate to be able to select the same side that beat Leicester," said Jenkins.

"It's no secret that everyone at this club was proud of that performance and we are putting our faith in the same players this weekend.

"Everyone has satisfied the management team of their fitness and that's a positive note in itself.

"We have trained with a real purpose this week, the players have responded well to the video sessions and there is a good edge about the side at the moment.

"Everyone is champing at the bit now and we just can't wait to get out there and do what we do best."

Llanelli have also named the same bench that faced the Tigers at Stradey Park a fortnight ago, with Wales wing Mark Jones back to full fitness and available to make an impact should the Scarlets need him.

"Mark is fully fit and ready and raring to go," added Jenkins.

"But it is important for us to try to maintain momentum within the side, and his preparation has been hampered by a knee injury in the run up to this match.

"However, it is a major boost to have him available to make an impact from the bench when and if that is necessary."
