Jenkins delighted to return
April 18, 2002

Wales' fly-half Neil Jenkins was happy to playing again after coming on as a replacement in Cardiff's 27-16 victory over Caerphilly.

"The knee is fine and it is good to be back in action," said Jenkins, who has been sidelined since the British Lions' tour of Australia last summer.

"It'll be a couple of weeks before I'm ready for a full game, but at least it's a start."

Cardiff coach Rudy Joubert said: "It's nice to see him come through without any problem."

But while Jenkins is on the way back, his old international partner, Rob Howley, was stretchered off with a knee injury and may miss the rest of Cardiff's season.

"He'll be scanned tomorrow and then we'll know how bad it is, but he was in a lot of pain," Joubert added.

"Hopefully it won't be too serious because with the games we have left we need a fit Rob Howley."
