Bottas eyes first win in 2015
Valtteri Bottas says he is ready to win races this year after learning from his first season fighting at the front in 2014.
Bottas finished fourth in the drivers' championship and scored six podiums in the Williams FW36. The early signs in testing suggest Williams will be competitive again in 2015 and if the gap narrows to Mercedes, Bottas thinks he can be in with a chance of securing his first win.
"I really hope so and I'm ready for it," he said. "If we can have a quick car and Mercedes is not as far ahead as the timesheets are showing [in testing], then I hope so. I know that I'm a better driver than last year, I'm more ready personally and as a team we have improved a lot. If we have a quick enough car we can do it and there will be 20 opportunities to try and do that."
Bottas got a kick out of proving his talent to the rest of the field last season.
"I never doubted it, but it was nice to prove that with a good car I could be there at the top fighting for wins. It was really nice to see and now I have 38 races - it's still not a lot, but from every race I have learned something. Last year I learned a lot from every single race and I always aim to be better at the next race than I was at the previous one, and that's why I think I will be better. I'm more experienced and I also feel really good in the team with a good group and good engineers, so I'm looking forward to it."
