England captain Katy Mclean will remain on the bench for the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup Pool A decider against Canada on Saturday.

Mclean was left out of the starting XV for England's last victory against Spain. Fly-half Ceri Large impressed in Mclean's absence and coach Gary Street said Large "enjoyed a good game against Spain on Tuesday so she deserves this start."

Sarah Hunter will continue as captain but revert to the back-row at No.8 for the clash, which takes place in Marcoussis.

Street added: "Having both Ceri and Katy in this position means we can rotate the squad which is what we need to do at a World Cup."

Both sides have picked up two bonus-point wins so far and Street's side will be looking for revenge after Canada beat England in the Nations Cup final last year. Depending on results from the other pools, however, the losing team could still advance to the semi-final stage.
