USA head coach has recalled all of his big guns for Tuesday's Rugby World Cup clash with Italy at Trafalgar Park in Nelson.

There is just one survivor from the side routed by the Wallabies on Friday, with Hayden Smith retaining his place in the second-row. Smith will line up alongside John van der Giessen. Elsewhere in the pack, Mike MacDonald, Chris Biller and Matekigonga Moekiola are recalled to the front-row, while Nic Johnson will be flanked by Louis Stanfill and Todd Clever, who will skipper the side, at the base of the scrum.

Behind the scrum, Chris Wyles returns at fullback and will be joined in the back three by Takudzwa Ngwenya and James Paterson. Paul Emerick and Andrew Suniula are restored to the midfield, while Roland Suniula is paired with Mike Petri in the half-backs.
