Don't go for gold in Daegu, Bedford tells Farah

Mo Farah has been told that winning gold at this month's World Athletics Championships may not be in his best interest.
Double European champion Farah is in the form of his life and is now unbeaten in his last ten races and is one of the favourites to win gold in South Korea.
However, former 10,000m world record holder Dave Bedford, whose British record Farah smashed in June, believes a gold medal in Daegu would pile extra pressure on Farah ahead of next year's London 2012 Olympics.
Although the title has not been out of African hands since 1983, Bedford believes Farah is good enough to win, although he has warned the Oregon-based athlete of the consequences.
"Farah is potentially as good an athlete as we've ever had," Bedford said in the Sun. "He's going into Daegu as a real gold medal prospect but I think he would be better coming second or third.
"Then the pressure and expectation on him won't be as much going into 2012. But I don't think he'll accept that."
