Farah leads English Commonwealth squad

Double European champion Mo Farah has been named in the England team to compete the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October.
With many top athletes choosing to stay away, claiming poor timing of the event, the European 5000 and 10,000 metres champion is one of three gold medallists from Barcelona set to travel to India. Farah will be joined by 110m hurdler Andy Turner and world, European and Commonwealth triple jump champion Phillips Idowu.
Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu will defend her Commonwealth title after missing the European Championships with a thigh injury, but heptathlon star Jessica Ennis will not travel to India.
"I'm really looking forward to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi," said Farah, who broke the 28-year-old 5000m British record in Zurich on Thursday night. "After an amazing season, two gold medals in the European Championships and a new British 5000m record, I hope to finish a fantastic summer season with another good performance in India."
European 100m silver medallist Mark Lewis-Francis has been named in the team, but 800m bronze medallist Jenny Meadows has opted not to take part.
