Chiefs captain Mils Muliaina has been sidelined for a month after suffering a back injury in last weekend's Super Rugby triumph over the Melbourne Rebels. Coach Ian Foster confirmed on Wednesday that an x-ray had revealed what is thought to be a fracture on the side of the fullback's spine. The veteran All Black will now undergo a scan on the area and while he is unlikely to require surgery, he faces four weeks out. In other news, lock Chris Jack will play in his 100th match for the Crusaders when they take on the Brumbies this weekend. Jack, who plays his provincial rugby for Tasman, made his debut for the Crusaders 12 years ago and will start ahead of Brad Thorn in one of two changes to the team that beat the Waratahs 33-18 in Nelson last Friday. Another Tasman player, Ben Franks, replaces his brother Owen at tight-head prop. Thorn and Owen Franks are both on the reserves bench. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd.
