Floyd cools row with Khan

Floyd Mayweather Jnr has moved to repair relations between himself and Amir Khan by inviting Khan's fans to come and watch him train in Las Vegas.

Khan, the WBA light-welterweight champion, has set up camp in the city as he prepares to defend his title against veteran IBF king Zab Judah, who has a loss against Mayweather on his CV, on Saturday.

His preparations have been overshadowed by a drugs row after Roger Mayweather, Floyd's uncle and trainer, accused him of using steroids - a claim Khan has strenuously denied.

Now Floyd, who has made clear he is willing to face Khan next year if the Brit steps up to welterweight, has smoothed things over with the concession to Khan's supporters.

"I have so much love for my fans in the UK," said Mayweather. "Ever since I fought Ricky Hatton in 2008 and then held an open workout in London in 2009, they have shown me nothing but support.

"I wanted to do something for them and I hope they can attend my work-out."

The workout takes place at 3pm local time on Thursday in his gym at 4020 Schiff Drive in Chinatown.

Mayweather makes his much-anticipated return to the ring against Victor Ortiz, the WBC welterweight champion, in September, 16 months after his most recent bout.
