Tyson Fury's manager, Mick Hennessy, has promised that the 23-year-old will "wipe the floor" with the Klitschko brothers in 18 months' time.

Fury extended his unbeaten record to 16 fights on Saturday, stopping Nicolai Firtha in the fifth round. In doing so, he managed to do what the reigning WBA heavyweight champion, Alexander Povetkin, couldn't over 10 rounds.

There were dangerous moments for Fury, notably when he was rocked badly in the third stanza, which is why Hennessy will not throw his man into world title fights against the likes of Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko just yet. However, by the end of 2012, Hennessy is backing his man to be the biggest star in any weight division in boxing.

"He's due to fight [next] November 12, and we're going to sit down and assess this situation," Hennessy told Channel Five. "There was more action in one round there than in Klitschko v [David] Haye and Klitschko v [Tomasz] Adamek put together.

"This is, without question, the most exciting fighter in world boxing. Not just heavyweight boxing, world boxing. He can make fights a lot easier for himself, and that's what he's got to learn, but we'll work out who he fights on November 12, and then we'll look at a European title and then a world title.

"In 18 months' time, he won't make up the numbers with the Klitschkos, he'll beat the pair of them."

Hennessy revealed that promoters of the world's top fighters want to hook Fury into a bout now, believing they can take his scalp while he still has holes in his game. The 23-year-old, though, is learning extremely fast.

"They [rival promoters] would like to fight Tyson right now, because he's just turned 23 and he's still learning. In 18 months' time, he'll wipe the floor with any heavyweight worldwide," Hennessy boasted.

"This kid's a superstar in the making. When you think the WBA champion [Povetkin] had a bore fest and couldn't do anything with Nicolai Firtha, what Tyson has just done here at the age of 23 is incredible."
