Pacquiao-Mayweather could become a trilogy - Roach

Freddie Roach believes a trilogy of fights between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr is a possibility in the future.
The clamour for a showdown between the pound-for-pound rivals has been steadily rising for the last few years but no contracts have been signed and the fight everybody wants to see has yet to materialise.
Roach is busy preparing Pacquiao - the WBO welterweight title holder - to take on Juan Manuel Marquez for a third time next month, with the revered trainer admitting his charge is starting to run out of viable opponents.
Should the Filipino superstar negotiate his way past the tough Mexican, the path to a meeting with the unbeaten Mayweather will be clear, and Roach says the clash the sport craves most could become a reality.
"You know, obviously, everyone wants Mayweather," Roach told the Philippine Star. "Of course, we're all getting a little tired of hearing his name because he doesn't want to fight Manny. But hopefully, that fight will happen.
"That fight is so interesting, it could end up being a trilogy. Actually, it could be the last three fights for Manny, if the fight goes as we see it because they're both very, very good fighters so it's a fight we want.
"There's nobody out there for Manny anymore, Manny might just end up fighting Mayweather after all."
